Race Night Frequently Asked Questions
We're sure there are many things you want ask. Below are some of the more regular FAQ's. If they don't answer your query then please give us a ring or send us an email.
Is a Race Night Legal?
Absolutely!! You must stay within the regulations laid out by the Gambling Commission. A quick check on their web site on the subject will put your mind at rest. Get there by clicking here
How much float will we need?
A lot more than you think. If 100 guests all turn up with a £20 note you would need £2000 in change!! You don't usually need that much, but you will need at least £50 for 100 people. Most people will pay with notes – remember, everybody will probably go to the cash point machine before coming along to the night!!
Will you provide the Race Cards?
Yes. Provided you email us the Horse Names, Owners and Sponsors at least 7 days before your event. If you miss that deadline you can still call us to see if we can help. There may be a small charge for this.
Will you want any of the Tote Money?
No. Unlike some Race Night Operators we work on a Fixed Fee Basis, What we Quote will be all you Pay.
I Have heard about things like "Tri Cast", "Forecast", "Dual Forecast", and "Lucky Dips", What are they?
For the Regular Race Nighters we can provide all the paperwork for the added bets etc. Just Ask at the time of booking, if you don't understand then let us explain..
Will you provide all the technical equipment?
Of course – we will provide the PA and projection equipment as well as the tote tickets, race cards and the races themselves. We always come prepared with background music to play in-between races. If you want to round the night off with a disco then just ask and for a small extra fee we will provide this as well.
How much notice is required in advance?
This is entirely up to you but we generally prefer at least a few weeks. We do tend to be a busy and in demand company. Bear in mind, the smaller amount of time you have, the more you have to do!! Make it easy – book well in advance.
Do you carry public liability insurance?
Most definately YES!!!! Check that your race night company does too!!
